Required supporting documents for filing an application for renunciation of inheritance by a minor before the Magistrates’ Court of the minor’s place of residence:

  1. Death Certificate of the deceased.
  2. Certificate of non-publication of a will.
  3. Certificate of next of kin of the deceased.
  4. Renunciation by the parent, where it concerns a subsequent renunciation by the minor.
  5. Certificate of family status.
  6. Published will (if any).
  7. Documents from the deceased’s creditors evidencing outstanding debts.
  8. E9 property declaration of the deceased.
  9. In case of debts to social security funds or the tax authorities (Tax Office), certificates of outstanding debts.
  10. Application for renunciation on behalf of the minor addressed to the competent Magistrates’ Court of the minor’s place of residence.
