Statutory lien of the lessor of an agricultural property (Civil Code Articles 604, 620, 626)

A statutory lien is provided in favor of the lessor of an agricultural property to secure the rent. The lien also extends to the fruits (produce) of the leased property, provided that these are not exempt from seizure (Article 626 of the Civil Code).
